The easiest way to...

The easiest way to...

... stick to your New Years resolutions

did you know the 19th of january is the day that most people "fall off the wagon", the day that most people's NY Resolutions slide out the back door.  DONT LET IT BE YOU!! And if you have already missed a day or so, it's not too late to get back in the game.

The two key things to keep you moving towards your goal, whatever your goal is..

1 . VISUALISE

Take a sit down just for 3 minutes, close your eyes.. now picture how you will feel when you actually achieve your goal.  What will you be doing? getting through that workout with record results

what will you or it look like? A brand new kitchen through to a new healthy body. Picture it in as much details as you can

What does it feel like? really imagine how you will feel when you achieve this NY resolution

Visualising helps in two ways. Firstly it motivates us to actually experience what our out will be like. And secondly there is research showing that visualisation actually does improve results, where athletes were put into three groups - train, train plus visualise, or visualise alone - and of course the train plus visualise group got the best results by a whopping 25% more

2 . JUST DO IT

In the immortal words of Nike, JUST DO IT.. And I like to add my own punch to this

JUST DO IT.. NOW..

Don't procrastinate.  Don't leave the walk for later.  Don't keep renegotiating with yourself about when you will have the walk, start your healthy eating, go to the gym, learn another language.  Just get on and do it NOW!

The more you negotiate with yourself and keep pushing back the "doing", the more decision making power you use - and we only get a certain amount each day (that's why we can get right through the morning but give in and eat cake for afternoon tea). Leave your decision to exercise until the afternoon and chances are you won't get it done

JUST DO IT NOW!!
